This blog will follow the growth of a giant pumpkin fittingly named "The Big Shaq". When Shaq emerged on the scene he was big and nasty, lifting piles of dirt as he bent backwards to stand up straight. He looked like the HULK right after ripping his shirt to shreds......Amazing. Shaq is now outside grabbing up all of the nutrients like Dennis Rodman grabs rebounds. Get ready to watch Shaq "Squash" the competition
Here is a pic of the world record pumpkin- 1725 lbs grown by Christy Harp of Ohio, below is a more realistic goal, 855 lbs grown by a R Haslam of Utah. Shaq may not grow as big as either of these, but I'm sure he will dominate the competition.
